Itagaki: ‘Tekken Sucks’
Posted on August 2nd, 2007 by bile Categories and Tags: Uncategorized, Entertainment, Tekken, Tomonobu Itagaki, videogames, Xbox 360There was a lot of negative reaction to DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball 2, how did that affect you?
It’s alright … you know what, that’s probably me anyways. That fits me and my personality. I’m not too worried about it.
Well, along those lines, are you looking forward to Tekken 6?
Tekken sucks. I don’t know what you’re talking about.
And DOA is such an amazing game?
Virtua Fighter 5 on the Xbox360 to get online play
Posted on July 9th, 2007 by bile Categories and Tags: Uncategorized, Entertainment, online support works, Quality of Service, videogames, Xbox 360http://www.videogamesblogger.com/…
The Xbox 360 version of Virtua Fighter 5 is based on the latest arcade version update and features both analogue-stick and D-pad control, as well as vibration support, which I guess they had to point out as the earlier released PS3 version doesn’t have it (it doesn’t have online either). The game also includes an improved Quest mode featuring more CPU rivals, items, and emblems for character customisation. The DOJO mode has added features including leaderboards, training move settings, improved throw and escape training, and the option to change your opponent’s position and recovery type. These all work to create a more refined DOJO mode where players can improve their fighting strategy.
I’m very interested in hearing how well the online support works. I’ll be picking up the Tekken DR online so I can compare. I’ll be very impressed if it plays half as well as offline. With single frame moves at 60fps I’d think lag would cause major hiccups without QOS.

A Tale of 11 Broken Xbox 360s
Posted on June 27th, 2007 by bile Categories and Tags: Uncategorized, Entertainment, hardware, internet buzz, Justin Lowe, Microsoft, Nintendo, videogames, Xbox 360, your moneyhttp://www.1up.com/…
Justin Lowe is your average hardcore gamer. He’s fully embraced the HD era, owning both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and loves his Nintendo DS and PSP for gaming on-the-go. He even helps run Aggravated Gamers, an indie gaming podcast. What’s special about Justin, though, is he’s currently on his twelfth Xbox 360.
This is extreme but not the first “>5 broken 360’s” stories I’ve seen. I know some people who haven’t had any issues but they told me they have several friends who have. This problem seems more than just internet buzz. You hear very few Wii and PS3 death stories. Hopefully Microsoft will sort this out when they move to 65nm.
Microsoft paying $50M for GTA IV episodic content exclusivity
Posted on June 18th, 2007 by bile Categories and Tags: Uncategorized, Microsoft, Playstation3, videogames, Xbox 360$25M each for 2 episodic content packages. Thats a lot of cash. At $20 a pack they will need to sell 2.5 million to break even gross. Obviously not including Take-Two’s share. Distribution costs will be practically zero as it’ll be sold over Xbox Live but I’d guess they need twice as many sold to make a real profit… MS that is. With less than 12 million 360 units in the wild that’s a really high sell rate. My guess this is really about selling 360’s. This game could be a real system seller come October and the chance of extra content could bring people their way. I wonder if PS3 owners will see this at a later date.
