TSA may start searching bags in NYC subways

The city’s overall budget cuts are apparently hitting the NYPD right in the subway bag check area. MyFoxNY reports that with few police officers available, “Transportation Security Administration bag screeners from Kennedy, LaGuardia and Newark Liberty airports will be replacing most NYPD cops in the subway that screen bags for explosives.” The TSA wouldn’t confirm the plan (but did say taking TSA screeners from airports and putting them underground wouldn’t effect air safety) and the NYPD says these are just talks. However, sources tell MyFoxNY it’s likely to happen—and it’ll work this way: “About 30 TSA screeners a day will be pulled from the three area airports Monday through Friday to inspect bags at various subway locations throughout the city. At each location they’ll be teamed up with one police officer instead of the two or three officers you currently see at inspection sites.” Naturally, the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association says this is a terrible idea and says budget crisis or no, the NYPD needs more cops.

I hope this happens before I leave and they increase the frequency of the searches. I’ve not had the chance to refuse a search in a long time even though it seems they are more often in the new South Ferry station than they used to be. It’ll be more fun to tell a cop and a TSA agent no than 2 or 3 cops.

Different day, different thugs, different threat

5PM, 3 NYPD officers to the left of the turnstiles at the South Ferry 1 train station. None of them I recall seeing before. Two notice me and let me go by without harassment.

Not very consistent. I’m a threat on Thuesdays but not Wednesdays?

I think I’m going to send the NYPD some questions regarding the inconsistancy, walking to another station, etc.

Harassed by thugs in subway, suspected terrorist escapes

Today, at about 5PM I was asked to have my effects searched by a man in a dark blue uniform who was armed and perceived dangerous.

But like last time I screwed up. My plans have been to say no, ask or say innocently something regarding the yellow line station across the street and go from there. In the least I want to take down the thug’s identification information, snap a few photos and hand out fliers I have printed out from FlexYourRights.org. Maybe walk up to the next 1 station and take it downtown over and over till he threatens to arrest me or actually does.

Sounds easy until you are actually standing there with 3 blue light gangsters staring at you with their hands on their belts… awfully close to pepper spray, a telescoping beating club and a handgun. While at the same time you have dozens upon dozens of people streaming into the station behind you.

This was the first time I’ve seen them setup behind the turnstiles. Normally the are just around the corner, just to the left side or across from them near the help booth and side entrance. So if it wasn’t for the fact that I have an unlimited rides card I would have been out $2.50. Perhaps I need to add that to my script. Asking for my money back.

So in any case all I accomplished was saying no, obviously annoying the thug and having him, after a few seconds of silent contemplation, telling me I had to leave. I said “fine” or maybe nothing at all and proceeded toward the yellow line station across the street. I doubled back in order to take some photos but I couldn’t get a shot through the windows because of the glare and I was not sure I wanted to push it by walking back in and snapping some pics. So I went to the yellow line. Hopped onto the W and went home. The suspected terrorist got away.

It takes most people a reasonable amount of mental perpareness to do what I’m trying to do. Hopefully next time I will be calmer and able to focus on what I need to do.

More images of police state NYC

These are from June 19th, 22nd and July 7th. I see this on a regular basis. At least once every two weeks.

Gang of heavily armed thugs with beast found roaming NYC

These were taken around 6:20PM outside the South Ferry terminal. Notice the jackboots, sub machine guns, and big smiles.

The subway photos are from the N/R station also at South Ferry. There was close to 20 NYPD officers in the station. I didn’t checkout the 1 station in the South Ferry terminal.

They can not and will not keep you safe

They will:

  • Occasionally get lucky and catch someone. Only because the net is thrown so wide and is constantly running.
  • Continue to infringe on our rights. Our right to be secure in our persons and effects, our privacy. Our right to property.
  • Push people, who may have otherwise not have, over the edge because of their infringements.
  • Continue psyops, in airports, in cities, through the media
  • Possibly perform false flag actions to ‘prove’ their effectiveness.

In the NYC Port Authority Bus Terminal on the way to the subway there are a set of glass doors. In between is just 20 or so feet of nothing except to one side an exit to 8th Ave. This morning for the first time that I’ve seen since I started taking the train every day was two tables with 10 or so cops standing around them in between those sets of doors. Half were sitting down and half leaning against the wall. Not a one was searching any of the hundreds passing by them every minute. They weren’t even paying attention as far as I could tell. Just hanging out, relaxing, talking to each other. There was no dog to sniff for explosives. The only thing missing in this mesh of blue uniforms and cream plastic tables was a bright pink box of donuts.
