Forfeiture Support Associates (FSA) brings together two proven service providers—MPRI, an L-3 Communications Company, and AECOM Government Services (AECOM-GSI). FSA’s management approach leverages the resources and experience of MPRI and AECOM-GSI for a single purpose—continuous high-quality service delivery in a variety of labor catergories. Our core business focus is in providing key staffing support for Department of Justice (DOJ) agencies and offices, other Federal Law Enforcement prosecutorial venues, and the Federal Law Enforcement community in general. Our largest customers include the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), United States Marshals Service (USMS), Executive Office of the United States Attorney (EOUSA), and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF).

Business Division 1 – DOJ Asset Forfeiture Support

FSA’s primary business is generated from our Department of Justice (DOJ) Asset Forfeiture contract. This long-term contract provides the Federal Law Enforcement community with a wide variety of support, in 30+ labor categories. This contract vehicle has been in existence for decades and is administered by the Asset Forfeiture Management Staff (AFMS) at DOJ. Currently the contract provides nearly 1500 ordered positions in over 450 Federal Law Enforcement office locations throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and Guam. Click here for more information

Business Division 2 – GSA Schedule Support

FSA is currently in the process of becoming a GSA schedules contractor. Within the very near future FSA will be able to offer our Government customers the alternative of ordering our services directly from one of several GSA schedules.

Business Division 3 – Commercial Support Contracts

FSA’s main business focus is in providing high quality labor support services to the Federal Law Enforcement community, or to other entities/companies that also provide like services. The FSA Commercial Services Division manages and supports all FSA business contract activities with US commercial companies.

I wonder what their slogan is. “Helping the government steal your shit.”? “The paper pushers making sure your things end up in the forfeiture’s hands.”? Or something directed toward their clients? “Making sure they can’t get it back!” “Who wants a new gold watch?”

I wonder who’s buddy owns this company or it’s an ex DEA/FBI agent.

Little early to be advertising the actual rally/protest but it’s good to see them planning. I wish them the best of luck. The Charles Lynch case is horrible and if you can make it out to show your support I urge you to do so.

Man Poses as Federal Agent and Makes Drug Busts

<sarcasm>As the official Blog of Bile Drug Czar I feel it is my responsibility to bring to light important victories in the drug war such as this one. If you don’t believe I’m the blog of bile Drug Czar, I can give you a number to call that will let you know I’m part of a special inter-blog task force. Unfortunately I was unable to check with our official Blog of Bile NY Times Czar as to whether I can post this or not, but as I am a federal agent I can skip that part of protocol.</sarcasm>

Seriously though, wow, just wow. It’s gotten to the point where things are so convoluted that a rent-a-cop with a badge, gun and crown vic can randomly start heading drug raids. A war mentality breeds this kind of crap. I’d be willing to bet any idiot with a rifle could go to Iraq, claim they were a military security contractor and start shooting random people from rooftops. This is almost the same thing, but it’s happening in the US.

Ask Blog of Bile - NJ Compassionate Use Medical Marijuana Act

Posted on May 21st, 2008 by bosco Categories and Tags: New Jersey, , , , , , , , , , , , , , 3 Comments »

Bile was kind enough to forward me an email stating that A.804: The New Jersey Compassionate Use Medical Marijuana Act was going to be heard by the Assembly Health and Senior Services Committee. The email suggested using this link to send an email (or letter) to the members of the committee. Now I thought short and fleetingly about whether or not I should send a letter. I ended up typing something up, but I’m not sure if it would help or hurt the cause. That’s where you guys come in. Based on this letter, which may or may not be emailed tomorrow morning, what do you think, help or hurt?

I am composing this letter to give you my opinion on the “NJ Compassionate Use Medical Marijuana Act”. I will be forthright. I think it is an egregious breach of my civil liberties that I am not allowed to do whatever I like with my body. I also think that for the majority of people marijuana has very limited medical use. Obtaining a government issued license (registry identification card) to use marijuana would highlight the infringement of my rights. This begs the questions, why am I writing you to support this act?

People’s opinions do not change overnight. It takes time for people to fully understand something. Society is slowly discovering the true effects of marijuana, both positive and negative. Any legislation that would make people more familiar with the actual effects of marijuana as opposed to the propaganda produced by the government could cause a shift in public opinion. For these reasons I think you should help pass this act.

I understand that for some of you this is exactly the opposite of what you wanted to hear. One of the major arguments I hear opposing medical marijuana is that it will cause people to think marijuana use is acceptable. My response to that is simple. It is. There are eleven of you on this committee. Though you may never admit it, chances are six of you have tried marijuana. Obviously you lived through the experience. I can think of far more lethal plants that are currently legal, Atropa Belladonna comes to mind. Passing this act could help the public to realize that our current policy of incarcerating people for choosing to use a drug that is relatively harmless is futile.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you have any questions or would like to speak to me in person I would be happy to oblige you. I live in Trenton so I can actually bike down to the state house. My address and phone number are attached.

Blog of Bile PS: Oh and for the record, my opinion changes overnight, but I’m a weirdo.

DEA gets TV show

http://www.spike.com/…

DEA

Spike TV was given exclusive access to follow a group of Special Agents and Task Force Officers in the DEA Detroit division as they risk their lives daily in the ongoing battle against illegal drugs. The series follows Special Agents as they work cases ranging from street level dealers all the way up to international drug traffickers. Get a first-hand look at what it is like for Special Agents to go out on undercover missions and pose as drug dealers and be there when the DEA busts down doors as Special Agents execute drug raids that put their lives directly in the line of fire. The series also takes a look at the complex relationship that Special Agents have with informants, revealing the strange kinship they share with these criminals who see themselves not as arch enemies, but rather as opponents in “the game” of the illegal drug trade.

Just sick. Doesn’t COPS glorify the immoral and ineffective war on drugs enough? I’ve started noticing adverts all around Manhattan.
