Complaints and demands for a retraction and an apology are flooding CNN today after Neo-Con host Glenn Beck and ex-Marxist David Horowitz smeared Ron Paul supporters, libertarians and the anti-war left as terrorist sympathizers and inferred that the U.S. military should be used to silence them, parroting a talking point that traces back to a September 2006 White House directive.

You can always count on the guys at Prison Planet to put together all the connections to a story. I doubt this will go anywhere… nor do I really care. Anyone who thinks that libertarians are in bed with islamoterrorists is too fucked to worry about at this point. The government has already made it clear that they wish to bring harm to us ‘radicals.’ And they worry me a whole lot more than Beck and his neo-con buddies.

As the Ron Paul movement grew, it was inevitable that the neocons would turn from demeaning to smearing. One clownish and sinister example was Glenn Beck’s CNN show last night.

David Horowitz decries the “strain of isolationism and anarchism” in America, especially as represented by “libertarian websites like LewRockwell.com,” which are “totally in bed with the Islamofascists and have turned against this country.” By country, of course, he means the imperial presidency’s war-spying-torturing-taxing-planning apparatus.

Does this mean that the blog of bile is ‘in bed with the Islamofascists’ too given it’s a libertarian website and I donate to LewRockwell.com on a regular basis?

Oh and Paul didn’t choose Guy Fawkes day for the money bomb. The campaign had nothing to do with it.
