As far as speaking to police is concerned, I tend to avoid it for all but minor matters such as traffic tickets and asking directions. If you want to increase your chances of getting out of a traffic ticket, I recommend reading this book. I’ve been pulled over numerous times and never received a ticket for a moving violation. Other than that I haven’t really had many run ins with the police.

H.J. 45: Proposing a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution of the United States.

The government can’t spend more than it brings in. What a novel idea. One problem:

Section 5. Total receipts shall include all receipts of the United States Government except those derived from borrowing. Total outlays shall include all outlays of the United States Government except for those for repayment of debt principal.

Shouldn’t those count? At least the repayment?
