Heh, no crackdown on Sen. Schumer for violating rule #1? (Nevermind that he was telling the truth.) At what point should the regulators, whoever they are (congress, the fed, the treasury, etc.), just come out and force everybody out into the open? No more level 3 assets, or off sheet balance whatever. Instead, it’s just going to be one implosion after another. It appears that the alternative is for the market to take matters into their own hands. Pundits may call it a bank run or a sell off, but perhaps it’s just due diligence on the part of customers.

Did they arrive at the $100,000 limit because of the cost of the printer ink? I’d like to see the day the one dollar bill becomes too expensive to print.

Indymac sounds like some terrible Indian McDonalds knock off, where you can get a McCurry for $.29 with a side of bochalism.
It’s a little disturbing that she sort of advocates not personally looking into a banks lending practices.

Like the penny?

You haven’t lived until you’ve had a maharaja burger which I hear is a real item on the McDonalds menu in India. And yea the penny costs like 1.7 cents to produce but with metals it’s a lot more understandable and easier to overlook, but considering the relative low cost of ink and paper the disappearance of the dollar bill will be more of a significant awakening for Americans. Realistically this won’t happen anytime soon since more and more transactions are becoming electronic.

beetlbumjl: You have been warned. Stop spreading rumors that the system is failing. Things are fine. I SAID THINGS ARE FINE!!
The photos are disturbing. I feel sorry for these people. No complementary bottled water and sandwiches back then. We’ve really come a long way.
All I can think of is the Republican debate where just about everyone but Paul said the economy was peachy keen. Sure… compared to a complete collapse.
