Who’s in charge of the dollar? Yes, the Fed Chairman. And according to his Q&A with Rep. Garrett, he is not really concerned about Congressional approval or authority. Scary? You bet.

All you need to do is check out what the Fed actually is and you should be thoroughly frightened. Even if you ignore the economic side of the Fed… the fact they are largely independent, privately owned, and have little control through the Congress usually makes people take a step back.
