Two weeks ago I called again after not hearing a word since the letter was sent. I was told that the other person who I had put down had not yet sent back the recommendation letter. I know his is a lie for two reasons. First is that I lived with the person at the time and know they had sent it out months ago. Second, the officer who handles this told me over the phone that he had received the letter when I called in April.
