I didn’t bother watching this on TV (how many sponsors did this thing have?) but I like the format, save the "feedback zone". If they allowed follow up questions it could have been even better.
I liked his answers to most of the questions, though the first two were a little hard to hear and a bit roundabout. I would have liked someone to ask him to clarify his answer to birth control girl on medical costs. He touched upon not taxing the public at large to subsidize this (good so far) and went on to blame high costs on inflation caused by the decreasing value of the dollar (probably true, but my uneducated guess is that this is a little overstated, at least in comparison to other goods / services), and finally condemns corporate run health care (can’t go wrong blaming the corporations). If he wants the gov’t out of this, who does he foresee running health care? Non-profit organizations? +1 if he mentioned health savings accounts. The original question implied a lot that he disagrees with, so perhaps he handled it the best he could given the expected time.
Second clarification I’d like is on the interventionist’s question. I felt that he skirted the issue of stopping genocide and instead focused on the unintended side effects of third world aid. He is true about that, but I would have asked him what would he have done differently in Kosovo. Assuming he believes in NATO, at least our participation in it, was its mandate there acceptable? If not, what if this event occurred in the western hemisphere? In what cases, should we intervene, if at all? Was it worth pushing back on the Russians during the Cold War?
Given his audience, I was surprised not to hear more about his views on Social Security. Our generation has largely written this program off, at least by the time we’re old enough to collect. I’d be interested in knowing how he’d like to reform retirement in general (SS, 401k, IRA, etc.) That said, this was 10x better than CNN’s debate last week. I watched their rerun of it last night and it was a disaster. I don’t particularly subscribe to Huckabee’s views, but he was more than justified in ripping CNN about time allocation. If only he had the balls to actually bring a stop watch and periodically announce the numbers. Instead Anderson Cooper allowed McCain and Romney to dicker over definitions. Whatever sells ratings I guess.

They actually only had one or two breaks.
Without watching it a second time I could be filling in things from what I know otherwise but. Inflation is a factor obviously but he’s referring to inflated prices because of government interference. Taxes, regulation, etc all get passed to the consumer. I don’t recall him blaming corps only but corporatism. That’s the issue he’s raising. If you want more on his healthcare beliefs go to his healthcare issues page.
Kosovo? Against it. Read Foreign Policy of Freedom. Far too much to go into here… but I think you can find much of what’s in the book on his congressional website in speeches to the House floor. NATO. Against it.
As for SS… his website has stuff. I’m pretty sure he talked about saving money from our foreign policy ad sure up the entitlement programs and let people tag out if they want while removing regulations that push up prices.
