I wasn’t impressed… then again when is anyone with these things? The YouTube format was interesting but given that the questions were filtered it wasn’t all that different from the normal format. I think Obama, Clinton and Edwards performed as expected and generally uninteresting. Dodd started off strong I thought and was fairly well spoken but was given far less time later in the program. Gravel and Kusinich were unfortunately left out of much of the debate but given they have the most disciplined beliefs it’s not surprising. Much as Ron Paul is marginalized in Republican debates.  Richardson really didn’t stand out much besides I believe his one response about NCLB. The most ridiculous comments of the night goto Kusinich on reparations and Biden’s on the ‘baby’ gun question. His arrogant and ignorant response was offensive to those of us who agree with the 2nd Amendment and cherish our right to personal defense. His insulting of the person posing the question was showing of his feelings about gun ownership and owners or at least  what he believes the electorate wish him to say. It also strengthens my paranoia that the government would define those who they don’t agree with as mental defectives to keep arms out of their hands.

Lets hope the Republican version is more entertaining. Hopefully Ron Paul will be present and given his supporters have a very strong online presents we will get some good questions for him and the other candidates.
